Hi Laura, welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like the four of you will have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth! I completely understand that when planning a visit to the
Disneyland Resort, there will be moments when Guests will separate from their party to do other activities. I highly recommend that all members of your party download the
Disneyland Mobile App and create their own account. Then, to link all four of you together as a group, everyone will need to add all four tickets to their own Disneyland Mobile App. I can walk you through the process. Once you have the Disneyland Mobile App downloaded, open the App, click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, select "Tickets and Passes", and then select "Link Tickets & Passes". This will allow you to scan the barcode of each ticket that you would like to link. And that's it, you should be all linked and ready to party!
Having all four tickets linked in everyone's App will allow you all to create a travel party if using the
Disney Genie+ service. I just came back from a trip to the Disneyland Resort with my family, and we used Genie+ a ton, I highly recommend it! It allowed us to avoid the standby lines and access the
Lightning Lane entrances for most attractions. I do want to mention though, there are currently three attractions that are not available through Genie+. To access the Lightning Lane entrances for these three attractions, you must purchase access individually through the Disneyland Mobile App, after you have entered one of the parks. These three attractions are
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at
Disneyland Park and
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and
Radiator Springs Racers at
Disney California Adventure Park.
I hope you all have a blast! Oh, and just a reminder,
theme park reservations can be booked up to 120 days in advance. Just thought you should know so you can plan your
theme park ticket purchase accordingly! I recommend you purchase your tickets sooner rather than later so you can secure your reservation dates. Also, when purchasing tickets, you'll be able to select either the one park per day option, or the park hopper add-on for a one-time cost of $60. The option you select will be applied to all three days, so I highly recommend you opt for the park hopper option!
See ya real soon!
