I'm buying one day tickets online for Magic Kingdom. When we got the 4 day pass last time I know we had to activate them at Disney before use. If we just get a one can we go straight to gate for entry? (I already know to book fast passes etc)

    Hi Alex,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!

I normally use my Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass to visit the Theme Parks but, during my last visit, I actually had to purchase a single day Theme Park Ticket because I didn’t want to renew my Annual Pass yet (it’s a long story).

Based on my experience, I’m happy to say that purchasing my Ticket through the My Disney Experience mobile app was quick and easy. Plus, I was able to head straight to the “Tapstyles” at the Theme Park’s entrance, tap my MagicBand and be on my way! One of the reasons why you probably had to activate your Theme Park Tickets at Guest Relations before using them during your last visit is because they might have been purchased with a Special Offer, such as the ticket deal for Canadian residents that pops up from time to time. You should be able to skip that step when you purchase a full price Theme Park Ticket, provided that every member of your party has an active MagicBand associated with their My Disney Experience account.

I hope my answer helps you get your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort off to a wonderful start. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
