    I'm buying a 3-day pass. Is it difficult to upgrade to MAGICKey unless you live in California?

    Welcome, SAORI! Thank you for coming to planDisney with your Magic Key question! 

    I’m glad to hear that you are interested in upgrading your 3-day ticket to a Disneyland Resort Magic Key! It’s a Fantasmic idea because it will allow you to experience the magic for an entire year!  

    Upgrading is easy and you may do so right from within the Disneyland Mobile App. You will see the option to upgrade in the “Tickets & Passes” section once you’ve scanned in at the main entrance turnstiles. The cost of your 3-day ticket will be applied to the price of the Magic Key. But, I recommend waiting to upgrade until the very end of your visit. Because your Theme Park Reservation is linked to your current admission type, upgrading on the first day of your visit will delete your current reservations. Then you’d need to book new reservations, subject to the Magic Key Availability Calendar

    Also, it is worth noting that the only Magic Key currently available for purchase is the Inspire Key. All other Magic Key Passes are available for renewal only.
