I'm going to buy one day tickets. The question is if I decide to upgrade that day to a Passport, if that day is a blackout date for the passport I wish to get. In other words would the only upgrade option be a premium?

    Hi, Vanessa!

Thanks for your great question. Investing in a Disneyland Resort Annual Passport is a smart choice, especially if you plan to visit often. I’ve been a proud passholder for several years, and I love taking advantage of the food and merchandise discounts!

You can upgrade to an Annual Passport any time before the end of the day with your valid theme park ticket, using the cost of the ticket for upgrade credit. Since you’ve already paid for the day’s admission, you can upgrade to any pass you’re eligible for, even if the day you visit is considered a Blockout Day. Plus, as a California resident, you should be able to take advantage of the monthly payment plan option that splits the balance you owe (after your ticket credit is applied) over 12 months.

I hope this helps, Vanessa, and that you have a pixie-dusted year of visits to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
