Hi! I'm busy planning our 1st holiday trip-11/27-12/3.We're staying at WL and plan doing MVMCP,Osbourne Lights,Candlelight Proc. I just heard about the Sleighrides and was wondering what you could tell me about the?Price, how to book, Thanks!

The sleigh rides through Fort Wilderness campground are a great way to experience some holiday magic during a Christmas trip to Walt Disney World, Linda.  They load just outside Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness--which makes it the perfect post-Hoop-Dee-Doo experience!  The "sleighs" can hold up to two adults and three children or four adults.  The ride lasts approximately twenty-five minutes or so, and winds its way through the streets of Fort Wilderness, allowing guests to admire the elaborate holiday light displays the campers set up.  When my family did it last year, there was a per sleigh charge, not a per person charge.  Prices are always subject to change, but during the Christmas 2010 season, the cost was $60 per sleigh.  If you have more than five people in your party, you can reserve a second sleigh, as we did.  The two sleighs did not take the same route, so we were not able to see the other members of our party the entire time, but we did pass by them every now and again along the route.  Sleigh rides can be booked by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.  I highly recommend the Fort Wilderness sleigh rides as a truly festive way to experience something unique at Disney!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
