I'm bringing 10 students to Disneyland Park for an afternoon. We'll have our (carryon) luggage with us. Is there a place we can store the luggage securely?

    Hi Tripp!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR!

Oh wow, I just know that you and your crew are going to have the Best! Day! Ever! At Disneyland Resort. This is a great question. Officially, luggage that is no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high is permitted to enter through the security checkpoints. However, all bags must be sEARched at security, which you'll have to go through to get to the rentable lockers. (LockEARs? Too much of a stretch?) The rentable lockers post-security near the Picnic Area by the Disneyland Park theme park entrance are big enough to hold these larger items; the 'Extra-Large' lockers are 23" high x 15" wide x 22.6" deep, and the Jumbo lockers are 25" high x 18" wide x 37" deep. The only con about these lockers is that they are 'first-come, first-served' and if they're sold out by the time your group arrives you don't have many other options. (I also know how long it takes me to get through security with a backpack and stroller, I would hate for you + your 10 students to go through that only to find the lockers in the size that you need are sold out.)

My suggestion for you will be to instead check your luggage at the Bell Services desk of a nearby hotel. The three Disneyland Resort Hotels would be my first choice as they are within walking distance to the westernmost security checkpoints, so all you'll do after drop off as well as after your Disney day is make your way through the Downtown Disney District and you'll be good to go. I'm not sure how you're planning on arriving to the Disneyland Resort, but use the address of the Disneyland Hotel, which is 1150 West Magic Way, Anaheim CA 92802; when your ride arrives at the security gate, say that you're dropping off luggage. The Luggage Storage area at this hotel is right out front of the main lobby where cars are instructed to drop passengers off. Another option would be Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel around the corner; they have a porte-cochere (covered driveway) at their street-side entrance where your ride can just pull in and drop your crew off for a bit. You will need to walk inside this hotel to get to the Luggage Storage area, but it's just a few steps past the main entrance. The address for Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is 1717 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim CA 92802. (Be sure to have some cash to tip the Cast Member; $2 per bag is pretty common.)

I hope that this helped to better plan your upcoming Disney day, Tripp! I also want to double-check that your group already has Theme Park Admission Tickets as well as Park Pass Reservations. I'm not sure when your visit will be but let us know if you need more information about those.
