I'm bringing my little girl on the Disney Dream for her 5th birthday and was wondering if she will be able to go on the Aqua Duck with me? I don't see any specific restrictions such as age/height.

Hi, Kathleen! I might have to call you "Mother of the Year" for booking your princess' 5th birthday cruise aboard Disney's Dream! I can't think of a better way to commemorate a milestone birthday.

I may be slightly older than your daughter, but I can not wait to take my turn on the AquaDuck! The AquaDuck is a 765-feet  "water coaster" (much like Crushin' Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon) with twists, turns and plunges all at high speeds. If you will click on the link I've provided above and read into the body copy about the water slide, you'll notice that the AquaDuck was designed for adults and children 48 inches or taller. My guess is this guideline is for safety reasons, and it probably won't be a "suggestion" once on board.

Of course, your daughter may be tall for her age, but my almost 7-year-old son is about 48 inches. Therefore, you might need to prepare her now by focusing on all the wonderful activities she will enjoy on her birthday cruise -- in case she falls short of 48 inches.

Make sure you note her birthday on your reservation and check out all the ways you can celebrate on board by visiting the Gifts & Amenities page.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation! Bon voyage!
