Hi, Susan!
You are such a fun grandma! Taking your 3 grandsons to Walt Disney World will certainly be fun for all of you. Make sure to take plenty of photos to capture all the magical memories! I can certainly appreciate saving money during your visit. Most Quick Service locations will allow you to swap out your beverage for a side item. Inquire when ordering what the options are.
With your desire to turn 2 burgers into 4, I am not really sure! First, I cannot think of many (if any?) Quick Service locations that serve a double burger (there might be, but none that come to mind!) If you run into this item on a menu, you can certainly ask about the extra buns!
Other ways to save money:
-Free cups of ice water at counter service locations
-Use your refillablemug for hot chocolate/coffee and get a bagel with your snack credit and you have a quick and economical breakfast!
-Bring some crackers and cereal bars in your tote bag. These will be perfect for a quick snack, saving you money AND time!
-Purchase each grandson a
Disney Gift Card. This will be their spending money. This way they know not to ask for all the souvenirs during the trip. Once it is gone, it is gone so spend wisely!
-If any of your guests are age 3-9,
Disney Dining Plan Quick Service credits are not tracked between child/adult, so order the larger meal and split it.
-When booking your trip, select a standard view room which often is less expensive than a preferred room. Avoid adding extras to park ticket (like the Park Hopper). Stick to base tickets.
-Do not over-buy park days on your theme park tickets. Plan a "no park day" and enjoy a resort day at your pool.
I hope you plan the perfect vacation for your family!
Cathy
