I'm bringing my grandkids to DisneyWorld and would like advice on the best type of footware when visiting the water parks. I've been thinking about getting them aqua shoes that can be worn in the water.

    Hi Peter!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question. Your grandchildren are going to have a wonderful time at the Walt Disney World Resort water parks! Happy splashing!

Your grandchildren can absolutely wear water shoes at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. In fact, I recommend that Guests visiting the water parks wear water shoes because the ground can get warm on hot days, especially for little feet! I have also found that water shoes help little ones from slipping. I would stay away from anything that is loose-fitting, and I would make sure the shoes are comfortable. My three kids wear water shoes each time we visit the water parks.

Tip: To help with your planning, here's a link to the Guide Map to Disney's Water Parks, where you can find general information and safety tips.

I hope this answers your question, Peter. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, please stop back and visit us again.

    Wishing you a magical adventure!
