Hiya Cindy - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so glad you stopped by to ask us a question about transportation! Before we get to that, I just want to say how excited I am for you to experience the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration in just a couple of months! There are so many new and unique things to see, eat, and experience - get ready to make some magical memories!
There are currently plenty of options for you to consider for transportation between the Orlando airport and the
Walt Disney World Resort - I'm sure one will be perfect for your family's needs.
First, you may be able to add private round-trip ground transportation to your existing Disney vacation package. This newer option is subject to change, but I was given the option when I just created a test package. In my past experience, it is not always possible to modify an existing vacation package to add something like this, so if you want to explore this route, I would suggest
speaking to a Reservations Cast Member.
Lyft and other ride-sharing services are my preferred option when I'm not renting a car. They tend to offer various levels of service and sizes of vehicles, so depending on your needs (e.g., car seats?), you might find an easy solution here. When I'm with a larger crew, we will often split into two separate ride-share vehicles. There are also some private car services, and depending on the time of day, pricing can be competitive with ride-sharing services. Plus, being treated like princes and princesses with a private chauffeur is a great way to start a trip!
Mears Connect and The Sunshine Flyer are other motorcoach services similar to Magical Express you may want to investigate, but to be completely honest, the "best" option is going to be different for every family, budget, and schedule. No matter how you arrive, I know you'll have a magical experience!
Please let me know if there is anything else we can help with.
