Hi, Megan!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. Four years old is the perfect age to sail on the Disney Cruise Line! Your daughter can enjoy
Disney's Oceaneer Club (as long as she is fully toilet-trained), the super fun youth club that my kids never want to leave. While she is enjoying Disney's Oceaneer Club, you can check out the
adults-only areas. You both will have the best time!
I have good news! Kids traveling with at least one parent do not need signed documentation from the other parent to sail on a round-trip voyage aboard the Disney Cruise Line at this time. Only children who sail without either parent (such as when traveling with grandparents) need to have a completed
Authorization for Minor to Travel without a Parent or Legal Guardian form.
Make sure to bring an
original, state-issued birth certificate for your daughter if she does not have a passport. I always recommend getting a passport for everyone, if possible. It simplifies the check-in process, and more importantly, makes it easier to fly out of a different country in the event of a rare emergency. However, I know it can be challenging to get a passport for a young child!
Have you downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app yet? If not, you can do it now! The app is easy to use and has many helpful features for your cruise. I like checking out the entertainment schedule each morning to plan our days (hello, 80's trivia night!). I also use the Onboard Chat feature to send messages to other family members sailing with us.
Megan, thanks again for contacting planDisney. Please reach out to us again if you have other questions!
Happy sailing!
Jen
