Im bring my son to Disney for his 2nd Birthday. When we dine will we have to pay the childrens price for him? What are the ages for that or can he dine for free and share with him from our plates he doesnt eat enough to justify a $33/child price for lunch.

    Hi Michelle,

Children younger than 3 are admitted free to the Walt Disney World theme parks and can share from your plate without additional charge at any of the restaurants. They also eat free at the all-you-care-to-eat buffets. When you make your advance dining reservations, make sure to include him in the total number in your party so that the restaurant knows what size table you need. (It also helps them manage restaurant capacity for safety).

When you check in at the restaurant, they will ask how many in your party are children, and you can let them know at that time that your son is 2.

Stop by Guest Relations at any of the theme parks and get him a free Happy Birthday button to wear on his special day. He will have lots of cast members wish him a happy day, and sometimes, guests celebrating birthdays get special surprises.

Thanks for stopping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle. Please let us know if you have any other questions about planning your family's vacation. And happy birthday to your little guy!
