Hiya Todd,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney again, and this time with a parking question! You’re in for such a treat staying at
Grand Floridian. It really does feel like stepping into a classic Disney storybook. Make sure you pause for a moment when you walk into the lobby—it was recently refreshed, and the new birdcage centerpiece is just beautiful. It instantly makes your arrival feel extra special.
Now let’s get to your question. You’ll be happy to know that
complimentary self-parking is available for guests staying at the resort. When we drive to Disney and arrive at a resort, we simply let the security guard know we’re checking in. They’ll ask for a valid driver’s license and then point you in the right direction for self-parking. It’s always been a very smooth, easy process for us.
One thing I love about driving to the resort is having options. You can use
Disney transportation, like the
monorail or buses, or hop in your car and drive to the parks if that works better for your plans that day. Having that flexibility really does make vacation days feel more relaxed.
While you’re visiting, be sure to carve out some time for the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. It’s one of my favorites! Between the colorful food, amazing chalk art, live painting, and even the ducks wandering World Showcase as they belong there, it’s such a fun and creative way to add a little extra magic to your trip.
I hope this helps answer your question, Todd. If anything else comes up, feel free to visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
