I'm booking a value resort and ticket package at Disney World that includes the Summer Quick-Service Meal (not the quick-service dining plan). If the resort price drops prior to my arrival may I get the lower price still?

    Hi Sherry,

It's funny you should ask that question because I just revised a current reservation I have at Disney's Pop Century Resort for this coming spring because a newly released promotion offered the guest room I had booked at a better price. So, yes, it is possible to get a better price for a vacation that you booked previously.

Here's the key, though. You must follow the promotions that are released by Disney periodically in the months ahead. If the price drops on your vacation package, the price you pay will not be automatically updated. You must call the person or organization with whom you made your original reservation and ask them to apply the new promotion. If it is available at the time you call, it will be easy to update the reservation.

Set an alert on your phone or write a reminder on your calendar to check the Walt Disney World home page every few weeks to see if new promotions have been released. Just type in "special offers" in the search field found on the far upper right corner of the page.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World at an even better price this summer.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
