I'm booking my vacation and it is just going to be my girlfriend and I, and I was wondering if a meal plan is really worth the cost.

    Hi Brandon,

A trip for two to Walt Disney World sounds like so much fun! I love touring the parks with my children but there is something so special when my husband and I have time to enjoy them on our own.

Your question is one that could be asked to five different people with five different responses. It's a great question! Some of my friends and fellow Panelists truly love the Disney Dining Plan. That said, I prefer to pay for our meals as we go. It really depends on how you like to eat. As far as I can tell, there isn't a huge price difference either way. Many people prefer the convenience of having a plan and meals that are already paid for in advance while others would rather budget and pay for each meal as it comes.

We tend to nibble throughout the day and don't spend a lot of time on sit-down meals. We also aren't always hungry at the same times, so we tend to split items or purchase an alcoholic drink. For us, it makes more sense to skip the dining plans.

Rest assured that with or without one of the Disney dining plans, you will have a wonderful time and have many delicious meals together! If you want to learn more, check out this FAQ as you plan your magical adventure.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Wishing you a fun-filled vacation!
