I’m booking a trip to WDWfor April 6-7, both being parkhopper days. However, I am traveling solo on April 6, and only want to buy one ticket this day. On April 7, I want to buy 2 park hopper tickets since my friend is joining me. Can I do that on 1 account

Hey Howdy Hey Chase and welcome to planDisney!

Trips to the Walt Disney World Resort are super exciting and amazing all at the same time. When you mix a solo trip and a day with a friend, this will give you a whole new appreciation of the parks. Thank you for stopping by with your question about booking your trip. I will be happy to give you a little more information on how to book the way you want.

When it comes to booking a trip to Walt Disney World, you have two options. You can call Disney and speak to a Cast Member about booking your vacation, especially if there are less common circumstances around ticket options. They can make this process super quick and easy. You are also more than welcome to book your vacation online connecting to your My Disney Experience account. Considering your scenario with how you wanted to book your tickets, this will take a few extra steps. Let's walk through how to do this.

Typically, when booking rooms at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, the Disney site is set to book a vacation package as you move through the process. You might find that your park ticket options are only available at a 2-day minimum. What you would need to do, is to book your room and select the "No Ticket" option on the ticket screen. You should then be taken to your cart to check on what you have thus far and the pricing. Scroll to the bottom where you see the wording "Continue Shopping for:" and select "Theme Park Tickets".

Once there, you should be able to search for the tickets specifically for your plans. You might have to select your 1 day ticket first for your solo portion, add that to your cart and do the same process for the second day with 2 tickets with the Park Hopper Option selected. All of these items should be able to be added to your cart and you can purchase them with one transaction. If you are having difficulty booking the tickets with one transaction, you can always book the room and solo day as noted above and then a separate transaction for you and your friend. A couple of extra steps but either way you can do this yourself online.

When you purchase your theme park tickets, make sure your friend has their own My Disney Experience account set up and you all are connected and sharing plans. On your account, you can go to the "My Family & Friends" section and select the button on the top right to "Add a Guest" which will walk you through the steps to share plans with your friend.

After you purchase your tickets, you can go to the "My Plans, Reservation and Tickets" section and click on the heading "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker". There you should see the tickets linked to your account. With each ticket, you should also see a drop-down menu on the right which you can assign the tickets to you and your friend accordingly. After that, Chase you are ready for your Magical trip!

I hope those steps help get your trip booked like you envision. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
