Ahoy there, Mei Chuen!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I love that you’re charting your course early to make your son’s birthday voyage as smooth as sailing on Moana’s calmest seas. And since you mentioned birthdays, you’re speaking my language—my crew loves
celebrating special occasions onboard, and Disney always finds a way to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust. With the
Adventure on the horizon, your family is in for an unforgettable journey. That ship is shaping up to be the kind of place where every hallway feels like a new chapter in a storybook and every evening ends with a happily-ever-after.
For pregnancy guidelines, you’re already on the right track: there are currently no special documents required for a pregnant Guest sailing with Disney Cruise Line. No doctor’s note, no additional form—nothing you need to hunt down like Scrooge McDuck searching for treasure. The only thing you’ll encounter is a brief pregnancy question during
Online Check-In and again on the Health Questionnaire on embarkation day. Easy as pie at
Pixar Market Restaurant.
Now, onto the key rule—think of it like the enchanted rose in Beauty and the Beast: simple, strict, and very important.
Disney Cruise Line does not allow Guests who have
entered their 24th week of pregnancy—or who will reach the 24th week at any point during the cruise—to sail. This one isn’t flexible. No waivers. No exceptions. Not even Fairy Godmother-level magic can make this rule disappear. And even though doctors are magical in their own right, a note from one won’t override the policy.
I hope this helps you feel more prepared as you piece together all the details for your adventure at sea. Before long, you’ll be stepping aboard, hearing that iconic “Welcome Aboard,” and watching your son’s birthday magic unfold in a way that only Disney can create.
Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
Dustin
