Ahoy there, Chris. Welcome to planDisney. I’m delighted to see you’ll be sailing on a Disney cruise soon! And how exciting you’ll be staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels beforehand to catch a glimpse of magic before your sailing.
I’m sorry to hear you encountered issues when selecting the pick-up location for
Disney Ground Transportation to the cruise terminal. To ensure you are picked up from the correct Disney Resort hotel you are staying, I highly recommend giving
Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532. A friendly Cast Member will help you make the necessary changes so that you are picked up from the correct location. If you haven’t already done so, I suggest having your Disney Resort hotel confirmation number on hand to add to your cruise reservation when you call, just in case!
By booking Disney Ground Transportation to take you to the cruise terminal after your stay at a Disney Resort hotel, your luggage will be picked up and sent to the ship. It’s very convenient and stress-free! On our recent cruise out of Port Canaveral, we were instructed to leave our checked luggage in our room while we boarded our bus to travel to the cruise terminal. It was oddly strange leaving our luggage behind, but sure enough… they magically showed up in front of our stateroom door by early evening! Since you won’t have your luggage in your possession for quite some time, be sure to pack important travel documents, essential items such as medications and sunscreen, as well as anything valuable, in your carry-on bag. If your family is like mine who likes to enjoy some time in the pool or water slides on Embarkation Day, be sure to also pack swimsuits and flip-flops! Or better yet, wear your swimsuit under regular clothes so you’ll be ready to dive into vacay mode!
I wish you and your family a magical sailing! Please don’t hesitate to sail by
planDisney again if you have more vacation-planning questions.
Bon voyage,
Kiki
