I'm booking our character dinners for our upcoming visit to WDW. I'm trying to decide between Garden Grill and Cape May Cafe, since they both seem to have similar characters. Do you recommend one over the other? Traveling with sons, age 5 and 2. Thanks

    Hello Jennifer!

Since you mentioned that you were looking for a character dinner, I just wanted to let you know that the Cape May Cafe clambake dinner is not a character meal. The characters are only at the buffet breakfast at Cape May.

Other options for character dinners that might appeal to your boys would be Chef Mickey's (Mickey, Minnie and friends) and Crystal Palace (Pooh characters).

I would suggest going with the Garden Grill. The characters when we visited there last week (although always subject to change), were Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The restaurant itself is very cool, as it slowly revolves giving you a changing view throughout your meal. At points you will be able to overlook the Living with the Land boat ride. Another nice thing about this dinner is that it is served family style which means that you won't have to get up to visit a buffet and risk missing one of the characters. Everything is brought to your table and is all you care to eat. It really is a nice, relaxing meal.

I hope this helps! Have a wonderful vacation!
