I’m booked to go on the Disney Adventure in 2026z I have a CPAP machine. Do I need to provide an extension cord for it or are there power points near the bed I can use?

Ahoy there, Ashley! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to sail by planDisney with your question for us.

It’s so great to hear you’ll be sailing on the all-new Disney Adventure in 2026. I’m excited for its maiden voyage at the end of this year and can’t wait to sail on it with my family sometime in the near future!

One of my family members uses a CPAP machine nightly and we’ve brought it every time we cruise on Disney without issues. In your cruise reservation, be sure to fill out the Special Services Form as soon as possible and under “Medical Equipment”, check the box that says you’ll be traveling with a CPAP machine. You’ll be provided with a gallon of distilled water in your stateroom on Embarkation Day for you to use with your CPAP machine.

Staterooms in all Disney ships have at least one outlet on the nightstand by the bed. While we do not yet know what the Disney Adventure staterooms will have, based on artist’s renditions and what has been typical of Disney ships, I anticipate there will be outlets on the nightstand for you to plug your CPAP machine as well.

Because extension cord is a prohibited item, it is not recommended for you to bring your own. If the electrical cord on your CPAP machine is not long enough to reach the outlet, you may be able to ask your stateroom host or at Guest Services to see if they have an approved extension cord to borrow for your medical equipment. While my family has never had to do this (since the cord is long enough to reach the bedside outlet), I have known other Guests who have done this during their cruise. Also, on Embarkation Day, it’s important to keep your CPAP machine in your carry-on luggage in case it needs to be inspected by the Crew Members.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Ashley. Please feel free to stop by planDisney again if you have more trip-planning questions.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki
