I'm about to book character dining in a few days. What are the most popular/top rated ones?

    Hi Megan!

Dining with the characters has always been such a fun and magical experience for my family. I love seeing the look on the kids’ faces when they get to give Mickey Mouse a big hug or when Doc McStuffins signs their autograph book.

Chef Mickey’s Fun Time Buffet at Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers a huge selection of food buffet style. You can dine here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I love that you can see and hear the monorail drive by. The space is open and airy and when the sun is shining it is bright and cheerful inside. Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, and even Donald Duck may appear.

Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is our absolute favorite place to dine for breakfast. Some of your favorite Disney Junior friends such as Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and even Handy Manny are on hand for this interactive dining experience. My kids love being able to sing and dance with the characters. The meal is buffet style and my kids are so excited when they get a Mickey Waffle for breakfast.

The Garden Grill in Epcot serves dinner family style and is all you care to eat. Chip ‘n’ Dale and some of their friends are there to meet you throughout your meal. This restaurant rotates through Living with the Land and it is so neat to rotate through the rainforest. Some of the food is even grown in the Land Pavilion. We absolutely love the variety and taste of food here and our service has been exceptional at all of our visits.

I highly recommend making your dining reservations as soon as possible. Reservations can be made 180 days before your visit. Don’t forget your camera and make sure to give Mickey Mouse a hug for me!
