Ahoy, Tamara, and welcome to planDisney. The countdown to your cruise is on! Based on the details you provided, it sounds like you'll be sailing aboard the
Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral. I'm happy to share some details that can help you sort out your planned outfits!
There are three Main Dining restaurants that you'll experience for dinner during your cruise. Each is unique, and I can definitely see your vision of dressing to align with the theme of each one! Before we talk about those, there are a few things I want to mention:
- Your cruise currently has dress-up night scheduled for Day 2 – this is an optional opportunity to wear a dress, suit, or other fancy attire to dinner.
- Pirate Night is scheduled for Day 3, and many Guests wear pirate costumes to dinner. There will be a themed menu that night, too.
- It looks like Guests will dine at the same location for two nights in a row (Days 2 and 3) because Pirate Night has its own menu. But over the course of your 4-night cruise, you'll have an opportunity to try all three restaurants.
Keep in mind that these schedules are subject to change. You'll be able to confirm all of the dining and entertainment details once you board the ship on embarkation day and connect to Wi-Fi. At that point, the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will populate with all the information specific to your cruise, including the order in which you'll experience these Main Dining restaurants:
- Royal Court: Think along the lines of fairytale vibes, French and American cuisine, and Disney Princesses. There's an elegant atmosphere, and you'll notice lots of thoughtful decorative touches.
- Animator's Palate: Imagine lots of color and creativity, with design touches that make you feel like you're in an art studio. Some ocean themes may appear during dinner, too.
- Enchanted Garden: The decor and effects at this special spot will transport you to a whimsical European conservatory, with a large fountain and views of the "sky" and lush greenery. There are also details and effects that make it seem truly enchanted.
What I love about
rotational dining is that the serving team will follow you to each location. They'll learn your preferences, like your drink order, and try to make your dinners as wonderful as possible.
One last note, Tamara: If you have reservations at one of the adult-exclusive restaurants,
Palo or
Remy, make sure to pack formal or semi-formal attire. Dress-casual attire with a polished look is also allowed at these restaurants.
Tamara, I hope you have a wonderful time sailing the high seas! As you begin packing, make sure to check out the
Disney Cruise Line website for suggestions on what to bring. If you think of any other questions between now and embarkation day, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney.
Your pal,
Kriss
