Bright suns, Lara! Welcome to planDisney, where you don’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to get answers to your Disney vacation planning questions.
Droid Depot is an incredible experience for any Guest, but for
Star Wars fans, it’s a dream come true. I mean, who hasn’t wished for their own personal droid, especially one that you get to customize and build, just like the beloved droids that help heroes and scoundrels alike across the galaxy? So, let’s chat about some of the important details. "Beep, boop" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Although prices are subject to change, the current cost is $129.99 plus tax to build each astromech droid unit. This includes a carry box and instructions, and while your droid will come with a basic personality, personality-affiliation chips are available for an additional charge. Each chip is typically in the $15 to $20 range, though prices can vary and are subject to change.
As a
Star Wars fan, you’ll definitely want to watch your new friend interact throughout
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, because as they say, every good adventure needs a trusty droid by your side. And if you have an interactive
Disney Band and download the
Play Disney Parks mobile app while in the United States, you’ll be able to interact with the land yourself. You can transform your phone into a
DataPad and play Batuu Bounty Hunters. It adds a whole new layer of immersion and opens up a galaxy of possibilities.
Lara, best wishes in creating the droid of your dreams. May the Force be with you, and if you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out again!
See you on Batuu,
Matt
