Hi Betty,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for this question about one of my very favorite magical Walt Disney World moments. I absolutely loved the Wishes fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park – it was impossible for me to stay dry-eyed when Tinker Bell flew above us, and I was a goner the minute the little girl sang “make a wish, and do as dreamers do, and all our Wishes will come true.” I’m teary-eyed just typing this!
Magic Kingdom Park’s newest nighttime spectacular,
Happily Ever After, is completely spellbinding, and I’m delighted to confirm that Tinker Bell is still taking flight during the show. The moment she flies times perfectly with the music and storyline to create pure magic. The pixie-dusted moment is closer to the end of the current show, and be aware that there are sometimes nights when she isn’t able to fly, either because of a pixie-dust shortage or because weather makes it unsafe for her.
Betty, I hope you love every minute of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. Another wonderful new show in Magic Kingdom Park is
Once Upon a Time, where Mrs. Potts reads a sweet bedtime story to her little boy Chip as projections and music dance around Cinderella Castle. Check the Times Guide when you arrive in the park so you can be sure not to miss this lovely way to say goodnight to a magical Disney day.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
