I’m attending MNSSHP on 8/19 dressed as Cinderella. I booked a park reservation so I can do a Capture Your Moment session at 4pm, when party guests are allowed in costume. Since my session is at 4, can I wear my costume for the photos?

Hello there, Cinderella - I mean - Abby! Welcome back to planDisney!

First and foremost, I must give you the credit you deserve ... You are a Disney-planning genius! Booking a Capture Your Moment session at Magic Kingdom right before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such a fantastic idea to capture your perfectly pixie-dusted costume and turn the excitement and magic in the air into lifelong memories.

You have asked a fantastic question, and to make sure I give you the most accurate answer, I reached out to a Cast Member. The Cast Member informed me that guests entering Magic Kingdom before 4:00 p.m. on a Halloween Party day are considered day guests and expected to adhere to the normal Park Dress Guidelines. At 4:00 p.m., however, costumes are not only allowed but encouraged. So, at 4:00, just say "Bibbidi bobbidi boo!" Time for Fairy Godmother to turn a pumpkin into your coach and you into Cinderella!

Since you have to be dressed and ready for your Capture Your Moment session before 4:00, I suggest arriving early in regular park clothes and bringing your costume with you in your park bag. When it's time, make your transformation and check in for your photo session. Since your session is at 4:00 p.m. on a Party day, there shouldn't be any issues with you being in costume. If it makes it easier for you, you can rent a locker near the park entrance to keep your bag while you dance the night away ... until the clock strikes midnight, of course.

Abby, just make sure that your costume is not a full-length dress. The policy for park attire (even Halloween Party costumes for guests 14 and older) and the attire policy for the Capture Your Moment sessions both state that your dress may not reach the ground. But as long as your Cinderella dress is not full-length and doesn't have several layers that could be a safety hazard, you should be good to go!

I hope this helps, Abby, and I hope the dreams that you wish will come true! Feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have.

A dream is a wish your heart makes,

    Mandy
