I'm attending Mickey's Halloween Party in Sept. I've reserved both Be Our Guest and Happy HalloWishes Dessert Package right after. Since I'll have dessert at the party, can I substitute soup or salad for the dessert at Be Our Guest?

    Hi Cynthia!

That's my kind of night!  Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park is a fabulous restaurant for dinner.  The Grilled Strip Steak with the Pommes Frites is my favorite dish.  Yum!

You have a valid reason for wanting to substitute your dessert on the Disney Dining Plan, however, it is completely up to the restaurant if they'll allow it.  I was on the Deluxe Dining Plan during my last vacation and some restaurants would let me swap my appetizer for a side or dessert and some would not.  If Be Our Guest does not allow this, take your dessert to go and save it for a late night snack.  My favorite dessert here is the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake, which travels well.  You surely do not want to miss the array of sweet treats at the Happy Hallowishes Dessert Party PLUS all of the candy you will be collecting trick-or-treating during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

    Have a magical day!
