If I'm attending magic kingdom and I also got the genie+, Can I book a reservation at 7 am for an applicable attraction and after that make a virtual queue for another (example: tron)? both attractions are on the same park.

Hola, Diana! Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are planning a magical day at Walt Disney World Resort.

Let's get you ready for all the fun whoozits and whatzits that will help you maximize your time in the parks. The answer to your question is yes. Yes, you can use both Genie+ and Virtual Queues on the same day.

For Genie+, you can select your first attraction starting at 7 am. After that, you can make a selection two hours after the theme park you are going to opens, or after you enjoy Lightning Lane entry to the attraction you selected, whichever is earlier. You can then make additional selections every two hours or after you use the last one you picked, whichever comes first.

Virtual Queues open at 7 am for all eligible Guests and then again at 1 pm for Guests inside the park. Within seconds of the Virtual Queue opening, all Boarding Groups will be full.

Boarding Groups fill so quickly, I suggest trying to get the Virtual Queue for TRON Lifecycle / Run first and selecting your first Genie+ Lightning Lane afterward. You will want to make Genie+ selections early, especially for the most popular attractions, but as long as you make your first selection before Magic Kingdom Park opens, you will be eligible to make a second choice two hours after the gates welcome you in. Don't worry about keeping track. The Tip Board has a section at the top that tells you the time you can make a new selection.

Here is what I would do on the day of your park visit:

    • By 6:55 in the morning, open the My Disney Experience app and get ready for the Virtual Queue. To do this, go to the menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen) and scroll to the section titled "My Visit."
    • Select "Virtual Queue" and pick the tab for Magic Kingdom Park. Follow the prompts to confirm your party for TRON and then keep refreshing the screen until 7:00 am. You will either get notice of a Boarding Group number or a note that all groups are full.
    • After the Virtual Queue is done make your first selection for Lightning Lane entry. If you are interested in Jungle Cruise or Peter Pan's Flight, I suggest prioritizing these in the early morning selections. In my experience, they tend to fill up most quickly.

If you do not get a Boarding Group for TRON, remember you can try again at 1:00 pm if you are in Magic Kingdom Park.
