Hi, If I'm attending the Backyard BBQ, where is the best place to park? and how long should I consider to commute from Animal Kingdom to Fort Wilderness?… I'm visiting in September 2014 Thanks in advance!

    Leon:

The route from Animal Kingdom to Fort Wilderness is about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the fort, you will park your car in the overflow lot to the right of the guard shack. To get to Mickey's Backyard BBQ, walk from the parking lot to the Outpost Bus Stop and get on either the Orange or Yellow Line for a 10-minute ride to the Settlement with a few stops, possibly, in-between. Once at the Settlement you'll see the stables and Pioneer Hall. The Pavilion for the BBQ is located behind Pioneer Hall. You should see signs leading you there.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
