    Hello there, Joseph!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your question. I can't think of a better way to enjoy a vacation with your grandkids than with a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! I hope that they're brimming with anticipation!

Disney offers Vacation Packages that include your hotel stay and theme park tickets. It's super convenient to have both items completed in one transaction. When possible, I like to stay on property at an official Disneyland Resort Hotel. All three are located within walking distance to the Parks and will allow your party to enter Disneyland or Disney California Adventure 30 minutes before the general public! There are also several Good Neighbor Hotels located nearby which offer similar inclusive packages but not early entry.

If you'd like to sprinkle a little extra Magic into your grandkids' vacation, check out the Enchanting Extras that are being offered. Located in Fantasyland, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers makeovers for elegant young princesses and shining knights. For the Jedi in your group, consider booking at Savi's Workshop, where they can custom build their own souvenir lightsaber! These Extras may be reserved 60 days in advance.

A valid theme park ticket and reservation are required for entry, so be sure to book your reservations when they become available 120 days in advance. You'll be visiting over Memorial Day weekend, so you might experience higher crowd levels. I would highly recommend purchasing the Genie+ service when you purchase your package as this will save you a lot of time from waiting in standby queues. And check the Offers and Discounts page every so often to see if you qualify for any upcoming savings.

Dining reservations may be made 60 days in advance of your trip. My favorite character meal has to be breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen! The food selection is fantastic and I love seeing the characters stroll by as I eat. For a great way to view the nighttime spectaculars, Disney offers a Fantasmic! Dining Package and a World of Color Dining Package, where your party will enjoy a meal and a reserved viewing spot for the show!

Joseph, I hope the information is helpful for you in planning your trip! If you have any further questions, feel free to write back to me or any one of my planDisney colleagues! We're here to help in whatever capacity we can!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
