I'm assuming that my DH and I could go to the Cal. Grill for just app/drinks (not a full meal) later in the evening as part of a night out (we want to go there, but not take our kids). Would I have to make ADR's for this? Thanks!

    Hi Melissa,

If you wanted to just sit at the bar,  you wouldn't need reservations, but if you wanted a table (even for just a quick meal, appetizers, dessert, etc.) I would strongly recommend making one.  As an FYI, the bar area at California Grille tends to get a bit crowded with people whose tables are not ready yet, people waiting for the balance of their party to arrive, etc.  You would probably be most comfortable at a table.

As you can imagine, California Grille is among the most popular restaurants at Disney World.  People often use it as a "flagship event" for their vacations, so in order to ensure you are able to go when you and your husband would like to, I'd definitely make a reservation.  If your visit will be later in the evening (you mentioned that CG will be one stop on your night out, you shouldn't have too much trouble.  My husband and I have been able to get reservations after 9pm, with little notice on a number of occassions.)

I hope you have a great night out alone!
