Hi! I'm arriving for my SOLO (woohoo!) trip later in the day; I likely won't be on property until around 6:30 pm. I'm just trying to figure out what to do with my night. Disney Springs? Boardwalk? Poly beach for fireworks? Help!

Hi Denise, and welcome back to planDisney!

Yes!! Congratulations on your upcoming solo vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! I am so happy for you and can tell you that all of my solo trips were perfectly amazing, and I had the best time. At the time that you plan to arrive, there will be so much going on that it will never feel like you are alone.

When I arrive early for my solo excursions, I always grab a bite to eat, so I recommend enjoying a meal, perhaps at your resort. If you would like to enjoy a lovely evening with a meal and fireworks, dinner at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a great way to enjoy your cuisine options and top off your night with fireworks. To make the experience special, they dim the lights and pipe the music into the restaurant as you view Happily Ever After from the balcony. If that does not appeal to you, you could head over to Disney Springs, eat, and do some shopping before it gets too late. Of course, if you want to take it easy, you can enjoy Disney’s Boardwalk while you indulge in some ice cream from BoardWalk Ice Cream and enjoy the sights from one of the available benches. At the end of the day, you are at Walt Disney World Resort, and your choices are endless.

Please return should you have additional questions.

    Have a magical solo adventure!
