I’m arriving on September 28th. I want my son who’s traveling with me to use the credit card I have tied to the account. When he went to make us a dinner reservation last night it asked him for a credit card even though I have one saved.

    Welcome to planDisney, Holly!

Oh, your Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner. You must be so excited!

We often have a few adults traveling together when we visit WDW, but the credit card number I have linked with my own My Disney Experience account does not appear as an option when the others make reservations for us. It's just specific to my own My Disney Experience account. Most likely, that same card has not been added to your son's account profile.

When guests make most Dining Reservations, they put a credit card guarantee on that reservation. This card will only be charged if guests fail to cancel or modify in accordance with the restaurant's cancellation policy. However, that card does not have to be the one used when checking out at the restaurant. At that time, you may use whichever accepted payment method you prefer. Easy peasy!

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, Holly, another option is to charge purchases--including delectable dining--to your room account. You can do so with your Key to the World card, your My Disney Experience app, or even a MagicBand+.

Enjoy so much fun on your upcoming mother-son adventure, Holly. This type of trip is so special--you'll cherish every magical moment and memory made together for sure!

As you and your son put the final pixie-dusted details together for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
