I'm arriving in 11 days and was just told by a friend that with my dining plan if I don't have reservations for my sit down meals for every night that we won't be able to get into any restaurants. Is this true?

Hi Tara!  It certainly is important to get advanced dining reservations when you vacation at Walt Disney World.  Many locations book up months before leaving guests disappointed when they can't get into their favorite restaurants.  If you have a dining plan that includes a table service meal each day then I strongly suggest you try to book some dining now.  Few places will have openings during the busy times of year and your vacation falls within the spring break weeks which means there could be crowds. It is not impossible to get same day reservations but those spots might not be what you are wanting.  Try to have a plan as to where you will want to be for each day and then make some reservations. Park dining books out the earliest so you might have better luck finding spots in the resorts or Downtown Disney.  In Epcot China and Morocco will often have last minute bookings available as well.

Head to this site and start trying to find some good restaurants for reservations. Better to go with some pre planning and preparations then to be disappointed once you are there. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/
