Hey, Lynda and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are one month away from your enchanted Disney vacation to the place "where dreams come true" and arriving by Walt Disney's favorite form of transportation...the train. Walt loved trains so much that he built his own back yard railroad in Holmby Hills. It was called the Carolwood Pacific Railroad and had 2615 feet of track. Amazing. I hope you enjoy your journey down the East Coast.
Guests traveling to
Walt Disney World Resort by Amtrak trains may arrive at three locations: Kissimmee Station, Orlando Station, Sanford Station. From all of the locations, you may take a taxi/Uber/Lyft as
Walt Disney World Bus Service and
Minnie Van Service do not travel to these locations. The Orlando and Sanford Stations have car rental service available. The Kissimmee Station is the closest but there is no car rental available. From the Orlando and Kissimmee Stations, you do have access to public bus transportation via LYNX. While it may be more cost effective it will take an additional 90 to 120 minutes to get to Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Dad Tip: You southern voyage will be beautiful, reserve a roomette or bedroom on the Amtrak train to get some rest during the journey. You have got to be "neat and pretty" to meet the Big Cheese himself,
Mickey Mouse.
Lynda, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
