Hiya Sandra,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I’m extra excited to help with this one because—as a fellow Florida resident—I know just how magical it is to live so close to the Most Magical Place on Earth. There’s nothing like waking up and saying, “Should we go see Mickey today?” and actually being able to do it!
Now let’s dive into your question. Florida residents age 18 or older must provide proof of Florida residency to take advantage of those special Florida resident ticket offers. That includes everyone 18 and over who plans to use one of these tickets, even if someone else is purchasing them. So, if your sister and her daughter are both 18 or older, they’ll each need to show their own proof of residency, regardless of who bought the tickets.
Accepted forms of ID include:
- A valid Florida driver’s license (with a Florida address)
- A valid Florida state-issued ID card (with a Florida address)
- A valid Florida-based military ID
Here’s a little pixie-dusted perk: if they have one of those IDs, they can verify residency online when purchasing tickets. That means no need to stop by Guest Relations—just skip right to the magic! During the checkout process, please ensure that you complete the Florida Resident Validation form for each adult using a Florida resident ticket.
And don’t forget to check out the
Special Offers page on the Disney World website! There are often amazing deals available exclusively to Florida residents; it is like our own exclusive treasure chest of savings. Just be sure to jump on a deal if you see one you like—they’re limited and can disappear faster than a ride on
Test Track!
Sandra, I hope this helps answer your question and sets you and your family up for a fantastic day filled with magic, memories, and maybe even a few Mickey-shaped snacks. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us.
See you real soon,
Christina
