I'm an annual pass holder and my son just turned 16 am I able to buy him an annual pass?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, John-Michael. I'm so glad you've stopped by to talk about Walt Disney World Annual Passes. I've been a passholder for years now, John-Michael and absolutely love the program and I am guessing you do too!

Good news, John-Michael, the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes resumes on September 8th, 2021. That's only a few more days to wait to purchase your son his own Annual Pass. I have to say that is such a wonderful gift, especially for a sixteenth birthday!

The Disney Parks Blog made the announcement about the resuming of sale of Walt Disney World Annual Passes earlier this week and I know it made so many people happy. I do want to point out that there are some changes being made to the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program. Right now, out-of-state Guests (which it looks like you are) are only able to purchase the highest tier which is the Disney Incredi-Pass. It's comparable to what the platinum pass used to be. I am excited about the changes to the annual pass tiers because most levels are able to hold more park pass reservations. With the Disney Incredi-Pass, your son will be able to hold up to 5 park pass reservations at a time without a resort stay. That's such a nice improvement to the 3 park pass reservations we've been allowed for the past year. On top of that, the Disney Incredi-Pass has no blackout dates so your son will be able to enjoy the Walt Disney World Theme Parks any day that he would like!

I know you've got to be so excited to get your son an annual pass and start making memories together that will last a lifetime. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
