Hi Monica,
Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow
Annual Passholder, I’m thrilled to see you making even more memories in the parks with your little one in tow! There’s something truly special about watching a child light up at the sight of Cinderella Castle, and as a Passholder, you get the joy of seeing those moments again and again. While I’m an out-of-state Passholder myself (and totally envious of my Sunshine State friends who can pop over for a DOLE Whip on a random Tuesday), I love the flexibility and perks that come with being part of the Annual Passholder family.
As for getting your 3-year-old their own Annual Pass, I did a little digging into the details for you. Florida residents do have the option to pay for a pass through a
monthly payment program, which is available exclusively to residents with valid Florida IDs. However, to take advantage of the monthly payment option, the purchaser must be at least 18 years old. So, while your little one can absolutely have their own Annual Pass, the adult who purchases it would need to handle that part, and yes, a down payment is typically required upfront before the monthly installments begin. The amount and schedule can vary a bit depending on the pass type and current offerings, but you’ll want to plan for a one-time payment at the time of purchase.
Now that you’re in the Passholder club with your little Mouseketeer, if you ever want to swap favorite snack stops, debate the best EPCOT festival booth, or need help picking a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for those spontaneous weekend visits, I’m your guy. Feel free to
drop me another question anytime!
See you real soon,
Brent
