Ahoy, Julia!
Thank you for sending in your question to planDisney. A spring sailing on Disney Cruise Line sounds wonderful, and I know how excited you must be to enjoy
all that is offered onboard.
I know planning what to bring is on your mind, and I am happy to share what to expect when
packing your own hair tools. Your personal hair tools will be allowed onboard as long as they do not exceed 110W/1500W or 220V/2000W. Anything over those specifications is on the
prohibited items list and will be confiscated at the cruise terminal. If anything is confiscated from your luggage, it will be available for pickup after you disembark the ship. There's a table in the cruise terminal with items labeled with stateroom numbers. If your hair dryer exceeds the specifications, Disney Cruise Line provides a hair dryer in each stateroom's desk drawer. Since you are on vacation, you can also treat yourself to a blowout at the salon onboard. Appointments can be booked online once your booking window is open or onboard (if available). I've done this on my last few cruises and have loved not having to worry about doing my hair. If you are sailing on the Disney Dream in April, you'll want to check out
Senses Spa and Salon. The
Untangled Salon is your beauty spot on the Disney Destiny and Disney Wish.
Julia, I hope this helps with your planning, as I know
packing for a cruise can be overwhelming. If you think of any other questions, please sail back over and let us know!
Nancy
