I'm a AAA member, we are planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando, will booking through AAA really save us any money compared to researching and booking the trip ourselves?

    Hi Daniel!

I am a AAA member and you can definitely save some money going through AAA.  How much really depends on what discounts Disney is offering.  Sometimes Disney is offering a great discount that can't be beat by AAA; at other times, however, you can get a better deal with an AAA discount.

By the way, you can get an AAA discount on a room only reservation (meaning a reservation that does not include tickets or dining) without going through AAA.  Any travel agent can get that discount for you.  Also, if you are doing comparison shopping, you should look at working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner in another travel agent besides AAA.  Sometimes other groups will have pre-booked rooms at Walt Disney World and can offer a group discount that Disney or AAA can't.

I know a thing or two about Walt Disney World and I generally use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help me, even to this day!  He or she will be aware of all of the discounts available as well as possibly having access to group space reserved by a travel agency.  My favorite planner has saved me and my extended family a lot of money over the years!  A good planner can also help you with Advanced Dining Reservations, tips, etc.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
