    Are Illuminations and Fantasmic appropriate for a 4 1/2 and 6-year old?

    Hi.  Illuminations and Fantasmic are terrific shows and at least for my children, viewing these shows at those ages was not a problem.   

    While my children enjoyed both of these show, of the two Fantasmic is the one that can be a bit louder and scarier.   If your children tend to get scared by loud noises or seeing scary creatures for short periods of time (like dragons or witches) than you might want to consider not going or at least be prepared to hold your children during these parts.   Again, Fantasmic is one of my favorite shows and for the majority of time is just wonderful for kids, but you should be aware of this in case.    Enjoy!
