    We want to see the illuminations around the world at Epcot and I have made reservations for dinner at Teppan Edo restaurant in japan. Was wondering if this is a good place to the illumiation?

    Hi Naomi!  You have reservations at one of my favorite World Showcase restaurants!!! Yum!

    You will not be able to watch the great Illuminations show from this restaurant.  Once you are done you can see if there is a spot on the balcony or steps to watch from there but what I suggest to guests looking for a good spot is for them to check the wind direction.  I would rather stand behind a front row of guests who scoped out a spot an hour ahead then have a front row spot where the wind blows all the ash and smoke in my face.  You will enjoy it much more to be away from the show's residue! The World Showcase lagoon is large and there are many great spots for viewing.  The only area I don't enjoy watching from is near the Mexico pavilion.....seems to always be way too crowded and loud in this area!
