Hello! I’ll be visiting Walt Disney World in a few months and have been dying to try Gaston’s cinnamon bun! However, I know it’s huge. Does the shop provide takeaway boxes?

    Hi Aydan,

Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are dreaming of Disney treats well in advance of your visit. Snacking around Walt Disney World is one of my favorite activities.

The cinnamon rolls at Gaston's Tavern are delectable, and, as you said, are as big as Gaston's ego. They normally are served on a small paper plate, and, to be honest, I've never had leftovers. It's too hard to stop eating the warm roll. (Did you know you can ask for extra icing on the side?)

If you have more willpower, good for you! Rather than ask for a box, I always tuck a couple of resealable plastic bags into my purse for just these occasions. They don't take up much room, and I find that bags are perfect for storing uneaten pieces of a Mickey pretzel, half a chocolate chip cookie or a bit of cupcake or bun. And they stay closed better than a box.

While we're talking snacks, do you know about the refillable popcorn buckets at Walt Disney World? That's my favorite salty Disney snack. Once you purchase a souvenir bucket of popcorn (which currently costs about $14 for the standard bucket, more for specialty buckets), you can have it refilled throughout your stay for less than $3 each time. (Prices are subject to change.) I love to nosh on a virtually unlimited amount of popcorn while I wait for a parade or fireworks show to begin.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Aydan. Please let us know if you have any other questions as your visit nears.

    Enjoy every delicious moment,

    Wilma
