I'll be visiting next month and am hoping to find a few locations to watch an NCAA basketball game during March Madness. I know I could do this from my hotel room but I like the camaraderie of watching with other fans. Any suggestions?

Hey Aaron! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question about the best tournament of the year. I have some recommendations for you all over the Walt Disney Resort.

If there is one thing I love nearly as much as Disney it's sports. The week of your arrival date is the most intense week of competition in collegiate athletics in my opinion. The amount of basketball to watch in that first weekend is what college sports fans think about all year. If you are at Disney why not visit Cinderella Castle and also watch some magical story about a mid-major from Washington or New Jersey getting crowned this year Cinderella?

I'm excited to share my top option based purely on camaraderie and the number of TVs. Rix Sports Bar and Grill located at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort boasts 31 state-of-the-art TVs that totally can handle all the games happening at the same time. My next option is to accommodate anyone you may be on vacation with. Most trips for me include my children, two princesses, and a prince, and they think basketball is cool in person but not on TV. They would be bored out of their mind by the end of the first half. Splitsville Luxury Lanes is a modern bowling alley that has 2 floors and enough entertainment to satisfy the whole family while you can watch one of the many flat screens and eat some yummy food. If you are looking for a more premium sports viewing experience then City Works Eatery and Pour House is the place to be. This space was designed with massive HDTVs for viewing from every angle. and they also have 90 local and global craft brew varieties on tap. All of these options I recommend making reservations, especially during such an exciting time to watch the games.

Watching from the room just wouldn't do your special trip justice and I hope one of these locations can be part of your memorable visit. Just a few days until your trip, I hope you are excited. And please come back to planDisney anytime and we can help with any other planning needs.

    See ya real soon!
