I’ll be visiting 8/05 - 8/12 2019. I’m purchasing 7 days for park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan. I’ve been to Disney World before but this is my first time planning this trip all by myself. Are there any important things I should know when planning?

    Hi Taylor,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning a fabulous trip and have gotten off to a great start!

If you have not done so already, consider which parks you plan to visit on which days, then you can plan for advanced dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections. We never visit the Walt Disney World Resort without advanced dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections. They simply are a must-do and will save you valuable time in lines. Some of our favorite restaurants are The Crystal Palace, 'Ohana, California Grill, 50's Prime Time Café, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Coral Reef Restaurant and 1900 Park Fare.

When you are 60 days prior to your trip as a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest, you can make Fast Pass+ selections. Fast Pass+ selections allow you to reserve ride time windows (usually an hour). During that ride time window, you can experience the attraction once. We typically reserve our Fast Pass+ selections for morning times so that we can head back to the resort to go to the pool in the afternoon.

Taylor, I also suggest that you calculate the total number of meal entitlements you will receive on the Disney Dining Plan for each person in your party 3-years old and over. If you are staying for seven nights, each person in your party on the dining plan will have 14 meal entitlements and 14 snack entitlements for the entire stay - that includes seven quick-service and seven table-service meal entitlements. I always map out our dining experiences for the trip to be sure that we do not run out of meal entitlements before the last day of the trip!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
