I'll be visiting Disney World with my friend her husband and their 2 girls 2 and 5. I want to give my friend an evening out with her husband. What would be a good thing to do with the girls? I don't want to do anything their parents wouldn't want to miss.

    Hi, Julie!

There is so much for you to do with two little ones while in Walt Disney World, especially if trying to give their parents a night out on their own!

First, consider a night at Downtown Disney, where you can enjoy a movie at AMC Movies at Downtown Disney 24. You can shop at the world's largest Disney Store, World of Disney, as well as at Once Upon a Toy and LEGO Imagination Center. We spend hours at DD, just taking in all of the sights and sounds, even without a movie, dining or bowling.

Another option would be to check to see if your resort offers "Movies Under the Stars" during your stay. Select Walt Disney World Resorts offer family-friendly movies projected onto huge outdoor screens; it's a great way to grab a snack, stretch out on a lounge chair or blanket, snuggle up and unwind near the end of the day...and it's complimentary. We've also brought a DVD to watch in the room, donned our PJs, grabbed a special treat and had a slumber party in the room as well, just to make it cozy.

Send me another question including when you'll be visiting WDW, as well as your resort, too. That way, I can gear some additional tips to weather and location as well. I'd love to help you plan the perfect night out for all 5 of you!
