I'll be visiting Disney in May of 2017. I was looking for information on the dessert cruise for illuminations and can not find it. Does this event still exist?

Hi Frances! Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is my favorite night time show at Walt Disney World. I love the music and love the fireworks and lasers and it just never gets old to me.

In the past there have been private dessert parties for Illuminations scattered around the bay. Right now they do offer the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party. This is not a cruise and is located at the opening of the World Showcase from the Future World section. You can reserve a pontoon boat for an Illuminations Cruise. These depart from the Yacht Club Resort marina each night. They come with a captain and can hold up to ten persons. Sodas, water, and snack chips are included. You can add specialty cakes or desserts etc. and they need to be ordered through the Yacht Club private dining. The number is included on that page. Your order will then be delivered to your boat in time for the cruise.

There is also a Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise which is located over on the Seven Seas Lagoon close to the Magic Kingdom. You will take a ride on one of the great ferry boats and enjoy special desserts that evening before you stop to dock and enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks. This might be what you were thinking of when you thought of a cruise, dessert, and fireworks.
