I'll visit Disney with 2 kids in 2 months. I'm wondering what meal plan I should take as pretty much every restaurants are already booked! I would like to enjoy this experience as much as possible as it could be the only time...

    Bonjour Clara,

Don’t let the fact that several of the most popular restaurants in Walt Disney World Resort don’t seem to have any availabilities during your upcoming vacation discourage you from adding a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation!

First, keep checking to see whether another Guest has cancelled a dining reservation that you can snap up, especially if you’re willing to eat outside of regular dining hours. I would also recommend searching for times at “dinner” or “lunch”, instead of a specific hour. While there isn’t a time of day that is better than others for picking up cancelled dining reservations, I’ve found that logging on first thing in the morning is when I have the most luck. I’ve also found from experience that reservations often start popping up 24-48 hours beforehand, so that’s when I would start checking availability more regularly.

Second, some of my favourite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants usually still have tables available, including: Restaurant Marrakesh and The Garden Grill at Epcot, Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom Park, The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. You definitely won’t lack for options, regardless of which Disney Dining Plan you choose!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
