Hi Lauren,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have visited Walt Disney World Resort in July several times over the years and I think it's a great time to visit. We visited around the same time you are planning. While it was hot, the crowds were actually not too bad. We knew we were visiting in summer so we planned plenty of pool time.
Recently, I was able to stay in a renovated room at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and fell in love with the layout. I was staying with some of my good friends and we all felt like we had plenty of room. With the redesign of the rooms, they added queen-sized beds and so much more storage!
I know work is ongoing at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort but there is no official timeline for when it will be completed. Weather is a big factor in any construction project and we all know how unpredictable the weather in Florida can be. My best advice is to be sure to request rooms in a renovated building. You might want to call to see if the request can be added to your reservation.
Lauren, thank you for visiting us with your question. I'm sending pixie dust in hopes you land in the perfect room for your vacation. Please let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
