My family and I recently
sailed on the Destiny, and I always enjoy tracking down the complimentary charms for my wife and daughter. We've been collecting them across multiple Disney cruises over the years, and at this point they may need to start a second bracelet because they've accumulated quite the collection! The charms themselves may not be worth a pirate's chest full of gold doubloons, but they are fun keepsakes that bring back memories of each ship and sailing. Seeing which new charm is available each day has become a fun part of our cruise routine, and it's always exciting to add another piece to their collection.
The good news is that, yes, complimentary charm events are typically offered throughout the sailing. To get started, keep an eye on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board. You'll usually find a Shopping Show listed early in the cruise, and attending that event is often how Guests receive their complimentary bracelet along with their first charm.
After that, additional complimentary charm opportunities are typically offered throughout the sailing. The Navigator app will be your best guide, so I recommend favoriting any charm-related events as soon as they appear. On the Destiny, these giveaways are commonly held in
Royal Regalia, where Guests can collect different charms during the voyage.
One thing I like to do on embarkation day is stop by Royal Regalia once the shops open. The Cast Members there can point you toward all of the charm events scheduled for the voyage and help make sure you don't miss any opportunities to add to your collection.
