Hey Jennifer!
While I adore traveling with the whole family, including Dad, some of the most precious moments I've had were when it was just me and the kids on a Walt Disney World Resort adventure.
I completely understand the concern about seating arrangements at attractions. We've encountered the same, but I've come up with a creative solution that will ensure both you and the kids feel safe and can enjoy the rides without any worries!
As per the rules of the Walt Disney World Resort Property, children under 7 must be accompanied by someone over 14 to board an attraction. However, since your child is 7 years old, here's a nifty hack for you: your 7-year-old can ride next to your 10-year-old in the seats in front of you! Cast Members will usually ask the kids their ages during their safety checks, so just be prepared for that.
I'll never forget the joy on my kids' faces when they hit that 7-year-old milestone and got to experience their favorite attractions like
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and
Slinky Dog Dash. Just keep in mind that some attractions have
height requirements, so the kids need to meet those to enjoy them.
There are plenty of attractions that can accommodate your family size all in the same row. Some of our personal favorites include
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and
Test Track.
I hope you and your kids have the trip of a lifetime! Watching them cherish these moments, like riding in front, staying up for fireworks and evening swims, and indulging in snacks, will create lasting memories they'll treasure forever.
